Hi everyone, suffered an injury to my back in 2018 which ultimately affected my mental health aswell, I split from my ex partner in september 2019, on the 14th october 2019 i was asked for my first fit note on my new uc claim, in january 2020 I sent off the uc50 form sent to me by my advisor, i have over the last 2 years plus provided all fit notes but 1 which has since been supplied, they kept putting back the assesment and I kept supplying fit notes till the 15th october 2021 when I was awarded the lwc, even after the award was made I had to wait till assesment period january2022 - February 2022, no back pay issued, I have sent in an appeal aided by cab advisor as I/he feel 2 years is a long time I have missed out of that element of my benefit because of no fault of my own, they wouldnt even answer my queries on my journal till citizen advice escalated it with them, my question is am I the only one this has happened too and what was your outcome ? The LCWRA element is paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition. Based on the information you gave you should have had the extra money from either Feb or March 2020.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
