I’m currently claiming universal credit and I have limited capability for work (without the element amount)
I have an upcoming pip assessment,
if I am turned down for the pip, will this effect my universal credit or limited capability status in anyway, will I need to go through a reassessment? That’s what I’m really worried about. Am I taking a risk by applying for pip ?

Hi @haffyali
My understanding is that being turned down for PIP wouldn't affect your Universal Credit claim in this way. They're separate benefits, with different criteria. I hope that makes sense!
