Mara Ba (My Mother in Gujarati) is a multilingual, semi-biographical play, written in English, Gujarati and Swahili. Jump through time and across continents with Rupa, a young Gujarati woman, as she seeks her ‘happily ever after’ from 1960s Kenya to contemporary England.
A night of creative storytelling, music, and cross-cultural conversations which shed light on unique, untold and funny stories from those who push the boundaries of immigration, disability and gender-roles. Written by Sonali Shah including original songs Directed by Octavia Nyombi Designed by Ivy Richards
