I am a 54 year old with CP who was born 3 months prematurely in 1967. Decreased lung capacity means I’m CEV. I am also a teacher facing going back to school tomorrow (including whole school inset) so even with 2 vacs and booster I’m pretty terrified and thought I’d come here for some friendly support!

Welcome to the community @Celi54 How are you doing today? It's great to have you with us.
Thanks for posting about this. I can imagine that would cause you quite a lot of worry. Have you spoken to the school about your concerns?
I've moved your post into our CP category so that you can connect with others with CP who might be able to share your concerns. You may also like to visit our employment category to find discussions around work and employment. -
Thank you so much for your kind comments. I am in a secondary school so I am glad we are wearing masks, but the children do tend to wear then just over their mouths or around their necks so not always helpful! We are testing which is some comfort but not social distancing.I was able to teach from home last year when shielding but that’s all gone now. Also I am going back to a new head of Dept and a new Head so I’m reluctant to seem special or different. Not the best first impression. There’s nothing from the Gov for CEV folks who are out there working. All the advice seems to assume you are at home and can control your contacts. I love my job and wish to be in the classroom - ironically I am a specialised SEND teacher so there is no one who can step in for me if I do end up in Hospital. How will that help my students?

Hi @Celi54,
Just wanted to check in and say that I hope you have a restful weekend planned.
