Hi i claim uc and pip.
Can i continue to get the carers element if im awared lcwra?
I care for my son but didnt know if i could claim the element if im awarded lcwra. I know id have to cancel carers.

No, you can't be paid both elements for yourself. You will be paid the LCWRA element because it's the higher amount.If you're claiming UC with a partner then they will be able to claim the carers element instead of you.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
