What were some of your favourite things to watch or listen to when you were growing up?

The thing is when I was growing up you didn't get to choose - no Netflix or anything like that and we didn't have 500 channels - we just had to watch whatever was on CBBC at the time!!
That said I think my favourites were Basil Brush and Blue Peter!

Yes same! Flicking through the same 4/5 channels hoping something decent would be on but always seemed to be news!! I loved Blue Peter! I was convinced one day I would get a Blue Peter badge, not sure what for as I never did anything but was a childhood goal

I do remember watching Pokémon a lot.

I liked bewitched when I was young and voyage to the bottom of the sea. Oh yes and the man from uncle. Also Popeye and Tom and Jerry cartoons, Popeye taught me to love spinach of course! 🤣

@janer1967 Grange hill was good.
@leeCal I liked watching Tom and Jerry even though it was always a repeat of mouse outsmarting cat. -

When I was very young I vaguely remember listening to "listen with mother" which then went on TV as "watch with mother"
A slightly older me would have watched Thunderbirds,Voyage to the bottom of the sea, and Supercar.2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡 -
The moomins the origin cartoon , trip to trumpton, button moon, choc a block , count duckular and super ted . memories...

lots of good choices here, i had loads of favourites, from voyage to the bottom of the sea to terrahawks and supergran, A team was another, and dr who, also liked the tripods, anything scifi really
