I know ear syringing is no longer considered an NHS job so you have to pay for it.
Is this the case for people on benefits as well, or can we get it done free like we can with opticians and prescriptions?

I haven't seen that sadly I think you need to pay for it. I looked and in my area it's about £30 to £40 which isn't as bad as I thought.
If a doctor deems it clinically necessary they can still refer for it apparently too -

Thats not as bad as I thought actually. My Dad got quoted £90 from Boots, so I will have to shop around! -
