Cataracts.

Six weeks ago my optician told me my cataracts had gotten fire times worse than a year ago, 2 weeks later and a second eye-test and they referred me for surgery. The op.will be performed at a private clinic paid for by the NHS (usually £2,300 per eye).

I have my first appointment this Sunday with surgery expected 2 weeks later on the first eye, had I been put on the NHS list I might have waited 9-12 months.

However I've been amazed in the last few months how quickly my eye sight has worsened, to the point now where my glasses are useless and I can hardly read.
As a result I will be spending far less time on my laptop, and sadly less time inter-acting with you all but I will look in from time to time.

Take care.
John
