I'm the other end of it as an autistic adult who wasn't diagnosed until I was an adult and just wanted to say you are doing an absolutely amazing awesome job fighting for your son.
I know from others how much of a battle it is, especially with schools not supporting and the system making you jump through all sorts of hoops.
What stage of assessment is he at?

@Mummabecks07 You sound like a super mum, having 7 children and navigating the barriers of getting your little son support at school. I hope you have lots of support yourself Is your son back at school today after the half term? Has there been any progress?
Just to direct you in the way of a fab specialist organisation if you haven't already heard of them - Independent Provider of Special Education Advice (IPSEA) who have free helplines and resources for caregivers trying to secure their children the educational support that meets their needs. I'd highly recommend taking a look at their website the next time you have a breather and a cup of tea.
Also, if you have chance give our Autism and neurodiversity category a browse as you might be able to relate to some of our other member's stories and situations.
