My second cataract op was booked in for the end of March which was a bit of a wait, got a call this afternoon they had a cancellation Monday morning so have booked me in, which means all being as it should be I'll be sorted for early March (takes a month of eye drops and a check up), dead chuffed because atm with one done and one not I can't see to read a book.
So mid March I will be able to get reading glasses from the optician.
It's all being done by a private clinic as the NHS waiting list was about 18 months, they usually charge £2500 per eye so I've been really lucky.

Good luck for tomorrow @woodbine, please let us know how it goes.
I'm supposed to be having a second cataract operation but I'm too scared due to the fact that my general condition has deteriorated.
I'm sure that all will go well for you, wishing you a speedy recovery. -
Great news @woodbine good luck with all and will look forward to seeing/hearing from you x
