Hi I submitted my pip. Claim online 31st January then had my telephone assessment 10th March then text message from pip 27th March to say we've received the written report of your pip assessment and should hear back in 8 weeks then another text message on 11th April to say we still haven't yet made a decision on your claim so I rang pip and requested a copy of the assessors report on 13th April and it arrived on the Saturday morning which was a poor reflection of what I actually said and so I sent in a letter to pip to let them know that I disagreed with the way I was presented as being calm with no sign of distress or anxiety and mentioned that if I can get into my car I can get into a shower unassisted so scored minimal points according to the descriptors. I expected a letter to say I haven't been awarded anything but received £810 into my account from them today 21st. April but not sure what the award is but imagine it was standard daily living only. The difficulty in trying to work out is if the back pay is split into the old amount or the new amount from April as my claim started 31st Jan. But just to also note to people challenge nicely anything you disagree on as I think the letter I sent in helped.

This goes to prove that they don’t always go with the report. The money in your bank will be mostly for the old rate. The new rates didn’t start until 10th April. You can ring PIP on Monday to ask them what you’ve been awarded and they will tell you.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
