Abused, left without sufficient food and drink and forced to live in squalid conditions. Tom Somerset-How had been living a nightmare of physical and psychological abuse at the hands of his wife and carer for four years.
Mr Somerset-How has spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy and requires 24-hour care. In 2016, his wife Sarah Somerset-How hired George Webb as a live-in carer at their home in Chichester, West Sussex. But after the pair began an affair, they began to isolate Mr Somerset-How from his family for their own financial gain.
Following a trial, the pair were jailed for 11 years on Friday.

Oh that was awful to read @Richard_Scope why didn't they just leave together? I don't understand people like that. I'm so glad he finally got help with that situation. Before things got worse, what a brave man. Glad they got jail time, altho not long enough.

@Richard_Scope I’ve just read I really feel for this man I was in a domestic violence relationship with my ex husband many years ago now I have cerebral palsy and I do feel what I went through has had a lasting effect on my body.I’m happy to say I am much happier now it has been a difficult thing to work through but I’m happy to still be here because there was times I didn’t think I’d come out alive 😊
