Dear Parents my name is Erika a London based photographer. I'm currently working in a photography project in representation of parents with disabilities in Uk .
The aim of the project is to break down any taboo and prejudge. My thought would be focus to the feelings and views of parents living with a disability - to address widespread myths and misunderstandings about being parenthood . I'd like to create an awareness of the importance of building a family life alongside disability.
I would be delighted to share any photographs/stories we produce with the participants involved.
If you think you might want to share your story please get in touch with me: getintouch.erika@gmail.com
Thanks"

Hi Erika, you have probably considered this already but you may find it useful to contact the DPPI. They are a national charity providing information on disability and parenthood and focus on disabled people as parents as opposed to a child having a disability. I am sure you will be able to access some useful information and the DPPI may also be interested to learn more about your project.

Hi Rocky, thanks for your message. I'm currently in touch with DPPI and they will collaborate with me, however, as it is a very small charity with not many people working on it, I'm still looking for parents that could potentially be interested on my project. Not sure this is the right place? Thanks

Hi, I hope that you do get some responses from parents from this site. Also wondered if Contact A Family have Community pages - if so, it may be worth you posting something there too. Good luck, it is an issue that needs awareness raising.
