Receiving LCWRA, can i work part time?

Hi guys, i currently receive LCWRA and also PIP. My therapist is wanting me to try applying for part time work as she feels it would help me but i am afraid they will take away my LCWRA if i start working.  It was a long process to get it, i had to appeal and was finally awarded it by a judge who put me in the "substantial risk" descriptor. If i apply for part time work, which would have to be remote work because of my health, would they take away my LCWRA, i would be applying for part time roles of about £500 a month, about 10-15 hours a week.

    Hi @turtle150 - you can work & claim UC with the LCWRA element, so long as the work you do doesn't contradict the reason you were awarded the LCWRA element which might affect a later review. I wouldn't think the work you hope to do remotely would be a problem however.
    You can work as many hours as you wish. You will have a work allowance which is either £379 a month if you get help with your housing costs, or £631 a month if you don't. For every £1 over your work allowance 55p would be deducted from your UC payment. Please see: https://www.gov.uk/universal-credit/how-your-earnings-affect-your-payments
