Cerebral palsy and social anxiety

Hello everyone, I have mild cerebral palsy and I’m in a wheelchair. I find it hard to socialize with people because I never really got out much. So when I try to talk people they think I’m weird or something idk. So if you have cerebral palsy maybe you can relate or maybe we can become friends. Life is peaceful but can get lonely and boring when you’re alone.

    Hi @golucky252
I have found crowded places a bit of a challenge since lockdown but as a wheelchair user myself those situations have always been challenging. Perhaps during lockdown, I just forgot!
We have a monthly group called Network CP. We meet over Zoom and socialise and chat. You don't have to have your camera on or even say anything if you don't want to. It is a safe space for us to discuss things that matter to the cerebral palsy community and make connections.
