Please!! - I really need some help.
My son is 17 and 6ft tall and a big fella. I am having trouble with his anger problems, we attended counselling years ago but it didn't seem to help. He really does have no acceptance for his younger brother and is convinced he is patronising him all the time. Last night he had his younger brother in a headlock and there was nothing I could do about it.
I have tried to explain this behaviour is not acceptable and the police will be involved because someone will get hurt.

Thanks - we saw Camhs on his initial diagnosis but they didn't think it was appropriate.
I will have to see if our GP can refer us for something.
He is an absolutely lovely lad, he hair has no empathy or any sort of well anything but dislike for his younger bro. -
Camhs can be really tricky to get into... a good idea to get the GP on side.
Sounds quite distressing for everyone. is little bro at risk? Could social services provide some support?
NAS have some strategies they suggest for managing physically challenging behaviour:

Also, there maybe some resources here that little bro may benefit from: https://www.sibs.org.uk/

Oh, sorry, forgot to add
there is a thread here: https://community.scope.org.uk/discussion/29666/guest-post-verbal-and-physical-aggression-how-you-can-improve-challenging-behaviour#latest
that you may find useful - you can talk to an expert about things

Thank you - I'll look it up
