Hi does my friend need to tell uc that she is married after when is the right time to tell them it's not till October

They can't report a change until after it's happened. If they are not currently living today as a couple and they live together after they are married then that's when the changes need to be reported.
Getting married isn't a change of circumstances in itself that needs to be reported if they are already living together and claiming as a couple.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
Hey @bigaxedwarf, as Poppy says being married doesn't affect Universal Credit. Living together does however, if they are already living together they should have a joint Universal Credit claim. If they don't move in together until October then they can wait until thenThey/Them, however they are no wrong pronouns with me so whatever you feel most comfortable with
