Hello all

I've been claiming LCWRA for 2 and a bit years now for depression and anxiety/panic attacks and would like to get back to work.

The money was enough to get by, but now I would like to repay debt and save for luxuries like clothes or holidays maybe (get back to a normal life).

I don't want to go through the hassle of meetings and still claiming benefits once I do start working however, is there a way I can stop claiming all together once I find work? I don't care about claiming a portion of benefits if I'm working full time. I live with family so don't claiming housing side, i feel i have recovered from my panic attacks and manage my depression. Living on benefits would just stagnate my progress.

Would love feedback and advice, thankyou!

LCWRA is part of UC so if you have access to a journal you can log in and request to end your claim at anytime.

However, just because you've been found to have LCWRA this doesn't mean you can't work. People work while claiming this. There will be a deduction of 55% for earnings received above the work allowance.

If your health conditions have improved and this has been ongoing for quite sometime then you should report the changes. Although your conditions improving doesn't mean you're no longer entitled to the LCWRA element.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
