My daughter has CP is hypotonic, has a learning disability and is on the autistic spectrum. I would like her to be able to join here with her own account. Is this possible. She could do with making some friends outside her very small circle of existing ones.

Hi @Sivam and welcome to the forum. 😊

I'm afraid the community is for 18+ however I'm going to add some tags for colleagues who might be able to provide some alternative advice/groups for your daughter as we do have colleagues who specialise in CP and family support. I'm sure a member of the team will be in contact soon.

    Best wishes,

Hi @Sivam and a warm welcome to the community😁

Have you explored your local offer? The local offer should contain information about local support and services that your area provides to disabled people so hopefully there will be information on there about any local activity clubs relevant to your daughter.

We do have a wonderful CP network who I will tag @Lucy_Scope, @Richard_Scope, @SaraC_Scope who offer support and information to people with the cerebral palsy as well as their families.

Hope this was helpful, please let us know if you would like more information or support☺️

Also my daughter is fifty years old (not a child.)

    Hi again @Sivam

Thank you for clarifying your daughters age. As she is over 18, she is more than welcome to create an account for herself on here if she would like to☺️

We have the coffee lounge which is a nice place to get involved in conversations with other members and we also have the games den for some light hearted and easy games which are nice ways to get started in the community.

Do you have access to a computer? You can join us via a computer 😊

Yes, I use a large PC. with a standard sized keyboard. We once had a camera but we lent it out and never got it back (you know the story I'm sure.) My hands are very bad with OA and I cannot manage a small flat screen. (Plus the fact that I hate phone zombies!)

Hi @Sivam, That is ok. You do not need a camera. You can participate in the chat function and via audio 😊
