    If a claim for UC is made online, access will be through your journal so no actual letters will be sent through the post.
    It is possible, but not easy, to get DWP to treat an online claim as a phone claim. I believe it remains as an online claim but the file is noted to allow treatment as a phone claim. Phone claimants will get correspondence.

    Have managed it with someone who made an online claim with the help of a friend who kept an eye on the journal for the claimant. Friend then moved away and it became a bit challenging so claimant wanted it changed to phone.
