It seems so unfair that my kids can’t get carers allowance cause they’re in full time education still even though they’re over 16 and do everything for me!

I imagine it's because they will be in receipt of child benefit...
But someone who knows the answer will be along.

I agree with OP however that the exclusion of young people in this situation seems unfair. Many young adults in full time education could have a weekend or evening job but someone with caring responsibilities may be prevented from doing this.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated.
