I really don’t understand why UC backdated my carers element 6 months but my statements have been changed back to 9 months ago? My entitlement for the past 9 months all went up but i was only paid 6 months backdated? Why is this?

When they recalculate your statements they work out how much you’ve already received against what you should have received and you will then be paid the difference between the 2. How much you’re owed exactly will depend on your circumstances.

Unfortunately it will be impossible to advise without knowing all the figures.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

They paid me back pay from aug 23-feb 24 but my statements increased from may 23 ? Does that mean they still owe me 3 months? Earnings where alot less those months

Put a message on your journal and ask them why you only received that amount when your statement say it’s from May 23. As I advised, I can’t advise without knowing all the exact figures.
