I was supposed to be having a phone assessment for my pip this morning at 10.30 am It is now 11.15am. I am getting really fed up with waiting. I have just read that they sometimes don't phone and then say they did call but you didn't answer the phone.

They don't always ring exactly on time. They should have given a timescale of when they will ring (for EG between 10am 12pm) to allow for any previous assessment to go over the time given. If they don't ring by about 12.30 then give them a call to ask what happened.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Hi @poppy123456. They didn't give a time scale. The letter just said my appointment was at 10.30. I will phone them. Thanks

Hi @Adrian_Scope. At 3.20pm capita sent me a text saying my assessment has been cancelled. There was no explanation. They had already cancelled the one I was supposed to have last week but I had been sent a text cancelling that one in advance
-
I would lodge a complaint, they need to inform you that it's cancelled before the assessment is due to start.
Telling you approx. 5 hours later, via text is totally out of order. No doubt this has causing you stress / anxiety.

Hi @rebel11. Thanks for the link to the website. It did stress me out a bit. I have epilepsy and stress makes things worse. I wouldn't have minded them cancelling it if they had given me a bit of notice even 30 minutes notice would have been appreciated! I have checked out capita trust pilot rating and they score 1.5 out of 5.

Just had a letter from capita with a new assessment booked for 5th April at11.45am. I wonder if this one will actually happen or if it will be cancelled again!

Hopefully this one will go ahead @deb74. I hope you're doing well and keep us updated about your assessment!Community Manager

Hi @Lou67. I haven't been on her much recently. I was expecting my assessment be cancelled again. I was told it would take about 8 weeks for me to get a decision from them.
-
Hi @rebel11. I am going to forget about it now the assessment is over!
