Driving lessons
I started driving lessons 2 months ago but out of 8 lessons I've missed 6. I have to pay £70 for a two hour lesson (automatic) two days before. And I keep missing the lessons due to depression. It's non refundable. So annoying. I'm out so much money and will continue to be out money. Anyone with any advice?

Scope Glitch this morning: "Comment Not Found" - Anyone Else?
I begin my day by checking my emails, and this morning, I received Scope notifications. When I clicked the "check it out" button on most of them, they opened without any issues. However, one particular notification posed a problem – clicking the "check it out" button displayed an error message: "Comment not found. I…

Hello everyone
Sorry for making a thread about myself but I can't really get on any of the discussions and not sure making this thread will even work Just to say I've been trying to get on the forum all day and nothing's working, it seems to work like REALLY slowly sometimes almost like my internet is dial up or something but just for…

Holidays that are mobility scooter accessible
I want to take myself away somewhere for a week. The problem I am having is although there are plenty of companies advertising great places to go, it is really difficult to find out if places are mobility scooter friendly. For example. is there room to keep my scooter, is it a hilly area (mobility scooters don't like…

When were you really brave?
I’m interested and want to be inspired by stories, if people are willing to share of course, of when you were really brave?? Please don’t be embarrassed by the things that you were scared of…I honestly think braveness is not the actual things you are scared of but the act of overcoming those things If someone is not scared…

Eurovision Song Contest 2024
This year's Eurovision Song Contest is kicking off in Sweden tonight with the first semi final. There's one more semi final on Thursday before the Grand Final on Saturday 11th May at 8pm. Will you be watching? I've grown up watching Eurovision every year, so part of my love comes from being exposed to it for so long, but I…

The coffee lounge
I've been here a few times and have seen no place to sit, and where the heck is the pot? :) Seriously, I remember decades ago there were coffee lounges that had couches and tables and shelves full of books. Where did those places go? I used to go places and see familiar faces. Conversations were easy and natural. I'll…

Putting both feet in
Has anyone ever tried to say something to make someone feel better, or as a compliment, only for it to backfire or make the situation worse?? Does anyone have any entertaining examples?? A family member the other day was talking about having cosmetic surgery and asked what people thought. When it was my turn to answer I…

Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights)
Did anyone manage to catch a glimpse of the northern lights this weekend? I tried to have a look, but I think there's too much light pollution in my area to get a good view. I've been fortunate enough to see them before on my travels a few years ago, so I don't feel like I've missed out too much, but it's pretty cool that…

Worrying
I read @Biblioklept ’s lovely post a few days ago using an analogy that sometimes it’s good to worry about things because if you showed symptoms of a heart attack and just ignored it because it’s unlikely to be a heart attack, what if it actually is a heart attack??? I’m very guilty of not taking stuff seriously a lot of…

Is it shallow to want understanding?
I don’t think it’s a desire for sympathy, more just simple empathy and understanding. I think there’s a difference - I don’t want people to worry about me, unless there was something they could do to help. However I would want them to understand what things are like as I try to do for them I have a family member who seems…

Costumes
Hi guys,I enjoy attending comic cons. Part of the fun is dressing up as characters from film and TV. I was curious if any of you had any tips or tricks for easy outfits, or a way of integrating your chair into part of your costume?

Yay
I apologise for making a self-gratifying post but I wondered if anyone wanted to share any good things they have done to help themselves recently, however small they may seem to others?? As of yesterday I just had 2 “alcohol free days” in a row for the first time in several years which I am really pleased with. I am…

Minor technical issues with forum
I'm having some very minor issues with the forum and am wondering if anyone else is, too? The first issue is that when a thread says however many new posts there are, that number overstates by one new post, almost as though it's forgetting I've read the most recent post; sometimes it will say 1 new post and there will be…

Non-alcoholic beer
Does anyone have any experience? Can anyone recommend some good ones? I've managed to drastically cut my alcohol for over 3 months now but sometimes I kind of miss the taste of beer (not the effects) and was looking at the alcohol free beers in the supermarket and wondered whether it's worth a try? I'm aware that by law…
