Sorry that's happening to you @123dhills, that doesn't sound comfortable at all. Has anyone been able to explain why they can't supply you with nappies?
Did you have any luck with the advocacy services at all?

Like everything Rosie ,
No advocate
No nappies
The sign of getting old

Sounds really rough @123dhills, sorry you're having to go through that. Is there anywhere you can make a complaint about things?

No Rosie, the ones you should be able to complain to nothing comes from it.If l had an advocate l might stand a better chance.

The way Nottinghamshire crises team has treated me,l hold them responsible for my demise. All my issues that matter to me have been ignored. The issues are detrimental to exasperated my illness
I am wearing a soiled nappy that doesnt help my groin problem. My old doctor because of postcodes told me to contact 111 l then got told off for doing that, but what do l do,l need nappies.

Have you looked up the confidence service in your area? The one in our area allows self-referral for assessment. I don’t know what it’s like through self-referral as I live in a care home and so care homes do the referrals for us and have a trained person to carry out their own assessment.
If you can self refer to the continence service or get a doctor to refer you then they should assess you and then send out the correct product for you and correct amount. They deliver to me 12 weekly so you do need to find a bit of space to store them all!
The continence service do tend to give the bare minimum for each person so be aware you may still find that you need to purchase some extra products online or from the shops yourself to help out if you’ve had to change a bit more regularly some days.

Ive been using nappies for about 18 months now.l was assessed by incontinence nurse and received them on repeat.l went into hospital for a long time and was using the ones in hospital, when discharged given a supply and went into rehab. This was a change of postcode and doctors. This is the problem, can't use 111 so they will have to clean up the mess
