Christmas already?
I went through town earlier and a well-known shop that sells craft things (amongst other items) had started displaying Christmas craft bits and bobs. What are your thoughts? Is it too early? Perfect for crafters? Or something else entirely?

Concert tickets for disabled and carer
Hi - I'm new here so I hope I have posted this in the correct area. We are trying to plan a trip to see Taylor Swift at Wembley next year. My daughter is a total Taylor Swift fanatic! I'm disabled and would go on my mobility scooter, taking my crutches for toilet breaks and standing for short periods of time to manage…

Does anyone else think that since Lewis Hamilton is now a "has been" - he should have his knighthood removed and it should be given to Lando Norris ?

What you can do, not what you can't
I have two very elderly and frail relatives who are unable to do lots of things. They have very opposite attitudes to life. One of them deeply mourns the loss of their youth, always talking about what they can no longer do and wishing they were young and able again. They absolutely hate being old and are always complaining…

Tattoos
Does anyone have them and care to share more. What do you have; why you got them; when did you get them; do you regret doing it, did you change your mind as you got older, or would you do it again without hesitation. I can’t wear short sleeves, partly because I used to self harm mostly by cutting my arms which has left a…

Have you joined threads?!
Dubbed by the BBC as the "much needed Twitter competitor", Meta's newly launched Thread App has had millions sign up in the last day. With so many social media apps out there, it has created many questions. * Are there too many Social Media websites / apps? * Are people signing up so they don't miss out? * Is Threads…

Things that last a surprisingly short amount of time...
Opposite to other thread about things lasting a lifetime... Be careful about naming & shaming specific brands 1. Earphones - seem to buy a pair every 2 months, I have tried buying good ones but they break as well so I just buy £5.99 ones now... 2. Bought a watch from a company which is meant to be a half decent make, it…

Poem called never loss sight of your dreams
Poem called never loss sight of your dreams. Dreams are always worth fighting for them no matter how much work hard put in.’ Take small steps towards the big dream, doesn’t make it look that huge anymore. For sure we will shed some tears along but our tear are not ours weakness but our strength to keep learning and moving…

Objects that last a lifetime...
We live in an increasingly "throwaway" world where things aren't built to last, or are designed to be thrown away and replaced every couple of years, like smartphones (planned obsolescence). I would be interested to hear what things do people have that will, should or have lasted a lifetime, and the stories behind them, if…

Feeling lost, looking for a community
Hi all. Thank you for letting me join this community. I’ve been disabled for 24 years after becoming chronically ill with ME at the age of 9. I have struggled to find a real community my whole life. I work 30 hours a week with a condition where only 25% of sufferers can work at all and probably less than 10% can work as…
