Farewell to Scope!

Hello everyone,

What to say! The time has come for me to bid the online community and Scope farewell, as I'm moving on to an exciting new venture! My last day here will be on Tuesday 11th July 2023.

I can't believe how quickly the past year and a half has gone, I've learnt so much working as part of the online community team. This job is not quite what I expected when I first joined back in 2021, moderation isn't everyone's cup of tea(!) but it's been a great challenge to get to grips with. 

Couldn't have done it without my amazing manager @Adrian_Scope #BestBoss, and my wonderful colleagues @Hannah_Scope, @Tori_Scope and of course @Richard_Scope (and previously @Cher_Alumni and @Ross_Alumni). I'm really going to miss your hard work, great support, and your humour, it's been a journey- keep doing what you do!

Shout out also to the lovely community members, we wouldn't have jobs without you!  Thank you for brightening the days and for showing each other your support and understanding. I'll miss checking in and chatting with you all! In future I might pop back to have a peek here, you never know :D

This really is a meaningful place for many of you to spend your time, and I'm glad to have been a part of it :)

    ive only just joined & still getting to used to socialising with others and its actualy sad to me- to see someone who clearly makes a difference in the comunity leave.
    @Alex_Scope it looks like youve dedicated a ton of time and effort to running the forum, we may not know each other but thanks for making a difference,i hope wherever you go recognises the efort and care you do for other people.

    Well today is my very last day, and it feels very strange- Thanks for your lovely messages @MarieBarl and @Grinchy I shall miss you all!

    It's been an absolute pleasure working alongside you @Alex_Scope! I'll really miss your excellent sense of humour, and huge breadth of knowledge. You've been a real asset to the team. But I know you'll be amazing in your new role :) I have no doubt you'll smash every new challenge, and continue to make an impact in the disability equality world.
