IsTransitional Protection Unfair for Housing Element of Universal Credit?
Is erosion of "transitional protection" unfair for certain cases? I understand that yearly UC increases come of the protection and a few other things, so you are never any better off in real terms until its all gone. However the housing element erosion seems very unfair. If you have say £200 transition protection, then…

Incorrect savings impacting Universal Credit
Back in 2022 my Uncle applied for UC and declared he has £8k in savings which is untrue. In fact he has no savings but as he has mental health issues he completed the form on his own and incorrectly. As his mental health has worsened I’ve been asked to help (I’m one of his nephews) and speaking to UC team they advised we…

Will people yet to migrate from ESA to Universal Credit be classed as new claimants?
I know they are hoping to get everyone migrated by December 2025. And presumebly the new lower LCWRA rates of £50 will be from after that date? So should be ok? But has it been confirmed? Thanks

Work Allowance & LCWRA
Hi, Am just looking for clarification about what happens if you work a little whilst claiming Universal Credit and in the LCWRA? I can see that there is a work allowance - so UC isn't affected if you earn under that? Also does the reporting your income trigger any kind of assessment/re-categorisation? Thanks :)
