Not watching the Coronation? What are your plans?

Today is the Coronation of King Charles III and I've created this thread for everyone who is not watching the event today.
I want to know if you have anything fun planned? Are you spending the day out? Seeing family and friends? or have you decided now would be perfect to binge watch that series on your list? or read that book sitting in your TBR pile?
Please remember the house rules today, be civil, safe and supportive. We all have our different opinions which is why I created two threads.

Aww that sounds lovely @michael57 What kind of fish do you keep? Did your grandson get to name any?0

I won`t be watching it; I`m not a fan of the monarchy. I will, however, be flicking to it now and again to watch the military aspect; to watch our fine servicemen and women (especially the Navy) show how professional they are.

@Cartini I mentioned on the other thread, you do forget how many regiments and services we have! It is amazing to see them all in uniform, I am proud of their service

Love a nose around Marks and Spencer's! Also John Lewis if I ever come across one.
No problem
There are loads of good things on at the moment, it's hard to keep up with it all! 1 -
Since the announcement of the Coronation, I've only thought of one movie.0

Which movie would that be @rebel11?0

Haha, brilliant @rebel11 They actually are playing that / aired that on Channel 4 today!

I don't think that is a coincidence, it's typical of Channel 4, they worry me, there's breaking boundaries, and there's breaking boundaries, I think they are talking about showing a live 'autopsy'.Hannah_Scope said:Haha, brilliant @rebel11 They actually are playing that / aired that on Channel 4 today!

Very British, the weather!
Yes I've seen Channel 4 are supposed to be doing a live autopsy. I do think that if they keep it well covered (with pins / parental locks) like they do with other programmes not suitable for minors, it can be a great benefit to those who are thinking of going into that line of work.0 -

I love horror movies, but this is one step too far, I see no 'rhyme or reason', except Channel 4's shock value.

I think there are boundaries people won't take and it's entirely up to choice. I had friends at university who studied forensics and seeing an autopsy was part of one of the additional modules. One of my friends didn't but some of them did. I studied forensics before university and did an anthropology module, but I had classmates who couldn't bring themselves to do that.0
