Hi, my name is Kaysains96! When will I get my first LCWRA payment and any back payments?

hello, I’ve been off sick since December 24 and had fit notes since March 25 which I’ve reported, I had a WCA and been told I’m LCWRA when will I receive my first payment/back payment if any owed?
Could anyone help please 🤞🏽

LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods, from the date the first Fit Note was handed in. No money is paid or subsequently owed for that period.
What date did you report the health condition?
What date was your first Fit Note?
Were there any gaps in handing in Fit Notes, any that were backdated etc? It's the date they are given to UC that counts, not the start date written on them.
Do you claim with a partner who gets LCWRA, or have Transitional Protection on your claim?
Finally what is your UC assessment period or payment date?

hello!
I reported on 12/03/25 and sent in my sick note on that date but the start date on sick note was 02/01/25
no gaps in between sick notes
I have no partner and my assessment period is 13th-12th of the month paid on 19th of every month

UC don't generally accept backdated Fit Notes so my estimate of your waiting period would be:
March/April: AP 1
April/May: AP 2
May/June: AP 3
June/July: Eligible for LCWRA element
19th July: First LCWRA element paid.
Even though you've received the decision, UC need time to process before LCWRA is added to your monthly payment, and any backpay calculated.
Currently one month LCWRA element is owed.
If LCWRA is missing from your next statement, two months will be owed.
Money owed is calculated separately and this usually takes several weeks at least. You'll know this has been done when a letter is added to your Journal confirming the amount they owe you.
You'll then receive the money into your bank account several working days later.
