    I was already lcw and in oct 2024 added new health condition also been adding fit notes continuing to Feb 2026 just had assessment and now lcwra do I lose the first 3ths of back pay as I'm already lcw and I added new health change

    The 3 months waiting period shouldn't apply when switching from LCW to LCWRA.

    The 3 months waiting period shouldn't apply but please check your UC payments include the element. Some staff at UC don't seem to understand their own rules and claim that you have to wait 3 months.

    As correctly mentioned by @OverlyAnxious and @Lauren29, because you have already been assessed as having LCW, the normal three-month waiting period for LCWRA shouldn’t apply.

    Not only that, because you have initiated the review by reporting a change in your condition and supplying fit notes, the LCWRA element should normally be backdated to when you reported the change rather than from the decision date.
