Does everyone receive pip letter before their decision?

Hi again
My son’s report has been with the DWP for a week or so now. With DLA I had a letter to say they have everything they need to make a decision- I’ve not received that this time. Does everyone receive this letter before their decision or it is possible I won’t get one at all? I’m just wondering if the DWP will be gathering more evidence ( I did send a lot already)

Thankyou Mike. I’m aware of the wait and know it won’t be any time soon, I was just interested as to see if everyone got the letter as standard.

I always find that letter rather pointless and all it causes is even more anxiety because a decision can still take anything up to 12 weeks after that letter.

Yes poppy it’s just another letter to get anxious about isn’t it? 

Good to know I don’t need to panic if I don’t receive one though. The waiting is difficult as it it

The wait can certainly be difficult, so I hope you're able to take your mind off of it as much as you can for the time being. You can always visit the coffee lounge if you need a distraction
