Hi i read on this site about pip assessors lying but it cant be proved.9yrs ago i was diagnosed with parkinson's and went on to get pips ,there were a few different answers to what i gave.18 months ago i had my reassment the 12 answers i gave were completely ignored i got 0 points bearing in mind that parkinson's only gets worse, the answers were made up by the asseser,1 answer was yes i have a blue badge they said i didnt.11 others were blatantly change, when i appealed i questioned this i was told by the dwp it depends on the assessors what they award if your lucky you will get awarded pips so yes they are liars and nothing will change that thanks

Welcome to the community @mojy1960
Thank you for joining the community, and for sharing your experience of the PIP process with us.
Some people do unfortunately find that the assessor's report doesn't reflect what was said in the assessment, or what the reality of their situation is.
It's worth remembering that it's the decision maker who makes the decision about your award, not the assessor.
Were you successful with your appeal?0 -
Hi,i had my appeal and i got another 0 points.i have started a new claim but i dont hold much hope.

What stage of the appeal process did you get to @mojy1960?
Were you able to improve the evidence you're providing this time around? I hope that it goes better this time for you

Starting a new claim using the same evidence you previously used will likely see another refusal.I'd advise you to get some expert advice to check that enough points can be scored for an award. You can have a disability but not qualify for PIP because if you don't meet the descriptors, you won't score the points needed for an award. I'm not saying this is you, but it does apply to some people.Start here. https://advicelocal.uk/

They did the same to me, I was awarded 0 points, Got 2 after mandatory reconsideration, Currently waiting for a Tribunal. As the assessor did not take anything into consideration at all, The report was mainly lies as I re read it again this morning.mojy1960 said:Hi i read on this site about pip assessors lying but it cant be proved.9yrs ago i was diagnosed with parkinson's and went on to get pips ,there were a few different answers to what i gave.18 months ago i had my reassment the 12 answers i gave were completely ignored i got 0 points bearing in mind that parkinson's only gets worse, the answers were made up by the asseser,1 answer was yes i have a blue badge they said i didnt.11 others were blatantly change, when i appealed i questioned this i was told by the dwp it depends on the assessors what they award if your lucky you will get awarded pips so yes they are liars and nothing will change that thanks0 -
Hi
I'm not to clever posting stuff online it's taken a while to work this out,i didn't go to tribunal as i was very annoyed and upset The new claim i will record and after having pips taken away i think i will be better equipped with the knowledge of why it was taken away, idid post a message earlier that i dont have much hope but today i feel more confident, thanks0 -
Ohh you should of attended the tribunal, I plan on doing so as the Assessor clearly thinks I'm lying about my claim, This will be mentioned at the tribunal.mojy1960 said:Hi

Recording an assessment isn't going to guarantee a PIP award. The recording can't be used in a Tribunal anyway, if it gets that far. You're much better off concentrating on writing a couple of real world incidents of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you.

The Tribunal already know that some assessment reports are flawed. What they don't need is a claimant to remind them of this.Concentrate on where and why you think you should have scored those points and the weaknesses in your evidence, rather than what was written in the report. Concentrating on the report is not going to get a PIP award.0 -
I have sent all my evidence and got written down the descriptors where I think they are wrong, Going to call DWP tomorrow to see if there is a update as I have been waiting over 28 weeks now just for the Tribunal to be listedpoppy123456 said:ChrisH90 said:

You will need to ring HMCTS and not DWP because they won't have any information about Tribunal hearing dates.

Good morning @ChrisH90
Unfortunately, depending on where you live in the country people are having a long wait for a tribunal date.
You are doing everything you should to prepare for the hearing but as poppy says when you go through the descriptors think of a real life example of how you struggle to carry out an activity, how you need someone to help you or whether you need to use an aid and whether you are in pain when you carry out an activity. The DWP will not assume anything - you have to spell it out for them.
You can make a complaint to the assessment provider about how your assessment was carried out. Even if you can demonstrate that the decision makers findings are wrong because they were based on a flawed assessment this will not get you PIP unless you can show that you are entitled to PIP.0
