Hi new member. Currently in receipt of PIP lower (standard rate) on both elements, Daily Living and Mobility. I have questions regarding MR or COC for the higher rate - I will post these questions separately.

A warm welcome to the community from me @Prancer25.
What questions do you have?

Hi. My questions are:
- whatwould be the likely timescale if I submitted a Mandatory Review in June or July this year?
- How would I include a "change of circumstance" item within that Review.
I was assessed as having 10 points on each of Daily Living and 10 posits mobility last July 2024. It is my belief that the Daily Living points were wring from the start .…. my mobility assessment was correct at the time but has since decreased.
(a) I have several coexisting conditions (osteo-arthritis, ADHD and Long Covid). Most of the questions I answered re ADHD problems were ignored in the assessment (the assessor was quite kind regarding my mobility issues and getting dressed etc - but she either ran out of time or forgot to ask me relevant questions re ADHD and socialising and budgeting).
(b) I was awarded 0 points for budgeting and the PIP report (done by DWP) says "you can manage complex budget decisions" .... this is nonsense as at the same time as applying for PIP in April 2024, I was also made bankrupt / insolvent by way of DRO (debt relief order) which CAB prepared for me.
(c) I did mention all this on the original application form - my budget problems and that I was applying for a DRO. Possibly I didn't explain clearly enough why ADHD causes those problems .... however most of that was glossed over and not asked about during the assessment.
=================
Additionally my mobility has significantly decreased since I was assessed - so potentially I could get the higher award on that item (possibly).
.…
The other question / issue rumbling about in my head (based on the announcement made by Liz Kendall at 12.30 pm today) is if I submit a combined COC and MR now (within the 12 month deadline for Mandatory Review) ..... will the DWP and Capita deliberately drag my review out for 18 months ???
Liz Kendall announced today that PIP Daily Living will require minimum of 4 points on at least one activity from November 2026.
(Currently all my Daily Living points are 5 x items scoring 2 points each - and even if the Budgeting item is added it would still be 6 x items with 2 points each).
I realise I should have probably challenged the Daily Living budgeting decision months ago but I didn't.... so here we are.
And i don't really want to include both items (the decreased mobility and budgeting item) in a COC because the budgeting problem is a lifelong issue I have struggled with (as per all ADHD issues being lifelong problems).
Timescales / likelihood etc if I try to do a combined COC and MR at the same time ???
Thanks. 😊
