Hi everyone who reads this; I hope you are as well as you can be. We all love our pets and say nice things about them, but occasionally pets can behave badly (yes, they can) and I thought it would be fun if you could share any stories about pets behaving badly? Over to youβ¦
@Steve_in_The_City ,Hereβs a start: Two years ago, I visited my mum after her neighbors raised concerns about her well-being. She was showing early signs of dementia and had forgotten to feed her dogs. Feeling sorry for them, my wife and I stepped in to help.One of the dogs was chained in its kennel because it had a habit of chasing chickens. As I went to lay down the food plate, in just a split second, it lunged and slit my wrist open. Because of my neuropathy, I couldnβt react quickly or run, so I ended up getting bitten higher up on my wrist too. Blood was gushing everywhere-I needed stitches, a month-long course of rabies shots, and a booster (even though the dog was vaccinated).Lesson learned! The poor thing didnβt recognise me, probably because of my walking stick and wonky gait. And of course, it was starving. But ever since then, Iβve had a serious dog phobia. Moral of the story: never fully trust even your own pets! ππ
That reminds me of a sheep dog. I was as all dressed up going out, went to a friend's house, the dog who was soft as brush usually, decided to jump on me on the sofa, I ended up lying down trying to get him to stop, as he kept trying to lick my face, my friend was stood laughing unable to help. Took about a good 15 minutes, in which I looked like I'd been dragged through a hedge backwards, all jewellery had pinged off. So embarrassing.

Hi @noonebelieves Thanks for sharing. The moral of your story is quite true. I am sorry you got bitten though. I was terrified of dogs when I was a kid, but now they are sort of my best friends - so maybe you could forgive and understand the errant dog that that did the dirty on you?! We have no control over what they are going to do at times!
Hi @Sandy_123 That is comical! I have been the recipient of a randy dog, and it is not fun! My little Yorkie attacked my brother, just don't ask!
@Sandy_123 P.S. Never wear your best black clothes when you are dressing up to go out and handle flour at the same time. It simply doesn't workβ¦

Hi @noonebelieves I can fully understand your phobia of dogs because when I was a lad I was terrified of them. It is a difficult phobia to "shrug off". No phobias are actually easy to "shrug off". But I am wishing you well and trust that one day you will find that dogs are your pal.
Nala, one of my guinea pigs, is obsessed with knocking things over. It is not recommended to leave a cup of tea/glass of water on the floor as it will be pushed over. Then sheβll look up at me to tell me βoh, itβs fell over, nothing to do with meβ¦β
Hi @Hopeless I think Nala just sounds lovely., and it is not his/her fault - he or she just wouldn't be that badly behaved! on purpose. I had a kitten, Sam, and you know what havoc kittens create. He ran up the curtains one day and the curtains fell down! I am not the most domesticated person, so finding the curtains on the floor wasn't fun (but I got over it)..

One of my cats loves dried meal worms which I keep in the cupboard for the birds, when the cupboard hasn't been shut properly, he got in and clawed holes in the bag to get them. Before I had the catio , I caught him helping himself to the meal worms from the bird feeder
If she says she's innocent she must be π she's gorgeous π
My shih tzu puppy years ago. I left a sheet of tarpaulin folded on top of living room unit. When i got home from evening out it was sprawled across the floor with holes in it. A lot of holes with no sign of where the missing pieces were except his guilty face. My other two looked innocent. Took him to emergency vets at midnight, they gave him morphine I think it was to make him sick which worked and it came up, lots of little pieces. On the way home he vomited in my handbag as I was getting him out of car and had to put my hands in it to get my door key ππͺπ€£
. Still miss him though he passed 8 yrs ago aged 12.
And when he was c 6 yrs old he had a soggy mess in his mouth (a small black sock), as I tried to get it off him he did a big gulp and swallowed it. c Β£3,000 later he was back home and went on to make a full recovery. But still a monkey β€οΈ.
I was attacked by a great dane years ago, it was my fault, I went to drop off medications to a chap I knew and his dog had had pups. I went to the bedroom where it was in the far corner on a mattress with her pups, thankfully I was only at the door but she made one leap towards me and i covered my face and she got my hand. I was more scared cos he had 3 other dogs (big/mixed muttley dogs) that were out the back, I've never moved so quick in my life i practically flew down the stairs. My friend was waiting outside in my car and I drove to hospital but was nasty injury, antibiotics, tetanus etc but I've been scared of big dogs ever since.
And this little one (rip 2016 aged 15) I was trying to coax him from under the bed as I had to go to work and couldn't really see him don't know if I hurt him (all 3 kgs) trying to get him or if he was frightened but he bit my finger. Really, really hard. I had him for 14 years, a rescue dog but luckily he was a very good boy thereafter, never bit again π€£π. I never told him off in fact I'm sure I apologised to him if I'd frightened him ha ha.
@Santosha12 Thank you for your input and your pictures. I had an unwanted Yorkshire Terrible ; a rescue dog I was seriously frightened of. Being bitten didn't even come into the equation.. Yet eventually I made friends with her and she couldn't have been a better dog, except with strangers! I told people not to stroke her but they wouldn't listen so all Hell let loose!
@Andi66 Expecting your cat to be well behaved is something you won' t achieve!!!
