Regarding child tax credits and old style esa

hi everyone I’m just looking for a bit of help, so I claim old style esa and have for a while I had a little girl 2 years ago and Ive always been a little bit confused regarding child tax credit as it states to make a new claim you have to claim universal credit. I’m just wondering if it’s possible to claim it whilst been on old style esa as that’s what I was claiming before my child was born & still am claiming now, I haven’t changed over yet due to not recieving my migration letter yet.

Yes you can claim Universal Credit without a migration letter (managed migration), this is known as natural migration.
If any of your ESA is Contributions Based, this will change to New Style ESA, be paid separately and deducted in full from your UC.
Any Income Related ESA changes to Universal Credit, and your Housing Benefit will end and be replaced by Housing Element paid via UC.
You can try a benefits calculator to estimate your UC award.
