Hi, my name is jau231!
I have decided to join this community as I have regularly read discussion threads. I live in Scotland and will be hoping to share personal and my partners experiences and help others and enquire about challenges experienced.

I ought to have introduced myself. I just tried to edit my original post and couldn't, so apologies to adding another here.
I live in Scotland, not too far from the highlighlands and was brought up in a beautiful Victorian style town, right at the centre of Scotland in a region Perthshire, so named big tree country. I studied in Aberdeen and love the sea and being by the coast. I hope to one day live there or nearer! I enjoy walking and being outdoors, which extends to foraging. I love to make my own drinks, condiments, food, beauty and household products (candles, soaps etc). I have a passion for food and enjoy learning about it- reading cookery books, experimenting with recipes and more.
My biggest and most constant lifelong love is for reading. I just love books and getting lost in a great book. I work as a librarian in a combined community and high school library. I have epilepsy and happy to share experiences and discuss this. My main motivation to join the community is to learn from others and as my partner has ASD it is important to be able to read others lived experiences and have access to advice regarding recent and in progress governmental changes to benefits.

I hope you find the community helpful for what you've described. There are lots of lovely and knowledgeable people here.
