I thought pip wasn’t based on condition or medication ? But how your life’s affected ! Have you got a welfare rights agent? Do you have access to self refer talking therapies nhs?

@Dendoo I self referred to Sheffield talking therapies last September. I had 4 sessions of "behavioural activation" over the phone which were not effective, then two further conversations on the phone. They advised my GP I need specialist long term help, which they cannot provide. So I was referred to PCMHS in my area by GP, but a 15 week wait for initial phone assessment appointment with them! I am still paying £28 a week for a virtual session with a trainee counsellor. She is lovely, and a lifeline, but not yet qualified. I still need specialist help.
I currently have 3 referrals I am waiting for now: mental health, ADHD assessment and also lipid clinic (I have high cholesterol but low blood pressure). I think years of living in survival mode with high cortisol has affected my physical health, poor diet, lack of self care. I also have arthritis in my back from when I had my son (epidural needle in for 13 hours), my knee from physical jobs I have had, and now in my right fingers/wrist, wear and tear again. Being a single parent means I have a shorter life expectancy too apparently!

I understand you it does take a massive toll . Funnily enough my cholesterol has risen got called in after blood tests wellness thing … and sugar but I know it’s the result of the last few years didn’t have the energy or care to bother with myself . Dr wants to speak to me about other bloods makes a change from getting the ‘ normal’ result .. I get you with pain and knock on effects . I’m glad you have some ‘ peace’ now from one part .

@Dendoo My bloods were off for a while. Due to fatigue got tested for thyroid, hormones, diabetes. Had low platelets and low folic acid. All due to mental health.

Blood tests I’ve seen in my
Past my folic has been right at low end but no one has mentioned it ever . This range stuff I think if your having symptoms it helps to not just say it’s in range so it’s not causing you problems ! That’s like giving someone a pr of shoes from range of 3 to size 8. Giving them a size 5 saying they are fine no need to do anything when they take a size 7 ! I’ve been watching my crp rise too for years again nothing has been mentioned . I’m going yo start getting access to my medical stuff .
