Is LCWRA the same as New Style ESA

in Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)

I have completed my migration and now in the waiting period. The other day I got a letter saying my ESA has ended.

Will I automatically now go into LCWRA or New Style ESA or just UC.

I thought I had done it all right but now I am having doubts.

    New Style ESA only applies if part of your former ESA award was Contributions Based. It's often hard to tell and many people have only found out what their ESA award was after migrating.

    You will get LCWRA under UC automatically, this can take a few weeks for ESA to confirm your status with UC, but is usually done in time for your first payment.

    Yes because the IR ESA ends when you apply for UC, UC is the replacement for IR ESA.

    It ends apart from one more payment from legacy benefits, known as the run on payment. This might arrive before your usual date, and might not be for the full amount.
