Mr Teigr has installed the new shower and he's only done a tiny bit of damage,it's a pre-Christmas miracle.

Not good here. Only went and dropped my phone down the loo!!
Got it in the rice right away and, initially, things looked hopeful and it seemed fine.
Alas, the seepage must have begun already as, 20 mins after removing it from the rice, some functions stopped working.
Fortunately, i don't have a smart phone. It was a little Nokia 105 dumbphone which i'd had for years and my favourite phone ever!!
It was 2g though so i would only have had it til the end of this year.
Went to my nearest Argos and got a new Nokia 105. I will get used to it.
Could be worse i suppose.
Hope everyone else's day's better than mine!!

It needed doing @Sandy_123 ,his wardrobe is twice the size of mine and filled with clothes he hasn't worn for twenty years or more.

Thank you @Sandy_123 , I feel like a nervous wreck. My stomach really hurts. I hope you are alright and I hope you have a decent day today. Take care

Have a fun time @durhamjaide2001!
I've done that to my phone before @anisty, I left it for a couple of days to dry out in the rice but it never regained consciousness in the end. Sounds like you're having more success though! Fingers crossed it comes back to life properly!
Hope your stomach feels better soon @Strawberry1, have you got anything to help with the pain?

Hi @Rosie_Scope , thank you . Yes I've taken some medication. I'm just resting now . Thank you. I hope you are well and I hope you have a reasonable day today. Best wishes

*** just for anyone else whose phone goes down the loo today - apparently popping any kind of phone in rice is a really BAD idea!!!***
So don't do that!
I have moved mine to an airtight box with a silica gel pouch.
Just to give a bit more drying. That seems to be the recommended way.
I thought the new Nokia 105 i bought today was 4g. Alas, another 2g!!
But i see it's the 3g network that is switched off and the 2g one will do another few years yet.
I am, of course, going back to my old phone as soon as it is well dried out!!
I have had a smart phone before, but not since 2017. I have a bit of an addictive personality so this tablet/dumbphone combo works best for me ๐

Oh that's news to me @anisty maybe that's where I went wrong! Good luck drying it out!

Thought it was bad and got lucky.Got my 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle out driving it to church and then heard noise that was not right when I got home. Found a rocker arm assembly loose on the passenger side tightening the bolts up.

A pub crawl eh? I hope you don't do anything I wouldn't do! ;-)
