My 16 year old son is going to try something new and always wanted to do this, doing drag. A drag queen came to visit and was looking for a volunteer that wanted to learn, came up and seen he decided to do it. I was cool about it right away and this drag queen got to meet me asking about my son. Told them I have been raising him on my own since he was born with help of my family and his father's family. Said dad died 2 weeks before he was born in a stunt that went wrong. Appraised me for being a good mom raising him right. I am for it 100% behind him for support. Have noticed he has been looking into it wanting to do it after high school which I will still be there for support. He starts lessons next week and said I will see what my drag daughter will look like with him fully transformed.

I will always love and accept my son for who he is, said he wants to do this after graduating from high school. He knows an education is first and to finish school.

Wow, this sounds very exciting @JackieLynn!! I am a big fan of Ru Pauls drag race and find myself in awe of the queens on there, they are all so so talented and creative and full of confidence. It truly is an art!

They did start on getting him a couple items yesterday after he got out of school. Did get him a couple nice just past the shoulder wigs and a couple pairs of heels. One of his favorite drag queens is Courtney Act

Oh I am loving this @JackieLynn it's amazing you're so supportive of your budding drag daughter. ❤️

I used to be a makeup and SFX artist, so I'm no stranger to the eyeliner. 😊

Amazing to hear. May they blossom in life! Will you keep us updated please? I'm friends with a few UK drag artists and I'm sure they'll all be cheering your son on too. ❤️

I am sooooo happy to see this @JackieLynn and I have no doubt both he will be all he can be as he new person and may SHE be fab-u-lous!! I am also happy that grandma is on board with the support as well.

My late brother knew a few Drag Queens and I worked with one in a car rental call centre….they are so great and so full of fun and personality as well….very true to themselves and honest with others.

@JackieLynn I think it is brilliant that you are supporting your child. If all parents were supportive to their kids regarding sexuality and gender issues the world be a better more loving and less screwed-up place. I have always said "dare to be different". Conforming is just a bind.
