We Will Call You - 2/3 Days

Hi everyone, I finally submitted my migration form today. Luckily it wasn’t to bad as I expected apart from the online ID. It kept asking me if I ever had a credit card (never had one in my entire life) and there was no option to say no. They must assume everyone on UC has a credit card!
Anyway since I couldn’t verify my ID online due to this. I got a message to say they will call me in the next 2/3 days. What type of questions will they ask me and will I have to go to job centre? I’d like to know what time they’ll phone me Incase I need to prepare anything in advance they ask me.

As I think I advised you will be given an appointment via your Journal for ID verification.
I've had the same message on my To-Do list for over 3 years.
No one ever called.

So what you’re saying means I’ll have to go to job centre even on the account it says we will call you?
I’ve seen elsewhere and on here before the we will call you is a glitch? I just don’t want to have to go into the job centre and deal with them as I’m uncomfortable doing that hence why I’d prefer the phone call.0 -
If you are given an in person appointment to verify id you can request instead a biographical id check which is a telephone call, where they ask questions about your personal details that only you know.
Sometimes there isn't enough information on the system for this to be an option, in which case you'd need to go in person or request a home visit (which would likely take several weeks).
The We Will Call You message does seem to be a glitch, as I said mine has been on there three years. Someone suggested it is a hangover from the pandemic when staff were working from home.

I do not want to go to job centre or even a home visit. I’d prefer them to phone me. Will I need too provide a bank statement as proof of address if I have to go to job centre. I do not want the job centre seeing my balance or transactions as I’m uncomfortable with that. I understand that’s when a review happens in future but I do not want job centre staff seeing my bank statement. I take it I can just print off the first page of the statement with proof of address which has my statement or use my phone contract for proof of address.
I did enter my passport number and my NI number/reference on my account when doing the form.

When the appointment is made, they will say what they need.
