This will answer your question PIP ongoing awards will have a light touch at the 10 year point.

The process is a "light touch" with a form called AR2 see it here:  https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/6602b15965ca2fa78e7da86b/ar2-award-review-how-your-disability-affects-you.pdf  You wont need an assessment as such.

You must bear in mind this is the process now as we don't know if this Labour government will change these PIP ongoing awards with their new system?

Hi guys I'm bit confused on the 26/27 changes to Pip

When they say your goin to need to get 4 points on one of the Daily living

Do they mean on one of the Questions

    Or a total of 4

I received 12 points on the daily living in total

Which was 2 points on different questions?

Hi @Vogue, from what I understand, if this change comes in you will need to get 4 points on one of the activities to qualify for an award. You would also still need to gain the further points to meet the normal thresholds for Standard or Enhanced awards.

So to clarify, you would still need to get a total of 8 points for standard, or 12 points for enhanced. But with the change, it must include scoring 4 points on at least one activity to get a Daily Living award. If your award was made up of scoring 2 points over a number of activities, it's likely it would not qualify under the new proposed rules.

I hope that makes sense! Scope have a guide to the proposed changes here:

It's a really tough thing to consider @Vogue, you're not the only one feeling angry about it. Scope are challenging the government with our Cost of Cuts campaign and here on the community we have our Green Paper discussion if you'd like to talk about it with others going through the same thing.
