Work capability assessment

in Universal Credit (UC)

Hi all, I filled in my UC50 last July I had my work capability assessment at the beginning of February I have phoned UC and spoken to my work coach and it's a waiting game, normal decisions normally 4-6 weeks mines over 8 weeks now heading to 9 all I have been told is that my health conditions are more complex, I have been updating my UC journal each time I've been in hospital and I have more procedures to come this month I'm currently in the lcw for work category

My work coach has been great I just need to know who I should ask why it's taking so long any advice greatly appreciated thanks

    Standard timescales are up to 12 weeks.

    Sorry you've been waiting so long @bobby71, it's never easy. It's really difficult to say why it's taking so long, but as Kimi87 mentioned, it can sometimes go up to 12 weeks on this sort of thing.

    I wonder if they may have contacted your GP or consultant to request any additional Information on your condition/s.

    All my work coach told me that when they enquired my report was still being written and that my health conditions were complex il give till the end of this week and phone again as it will be going into it's 10th week
