hi there . You are the Donor and the person acting for you is the Attorney .
I have just done my own PoA and mothers . Hooe that helps . Do ask if there’s anything else unclear .0 -
Hi Rigilsalam786,
I'm sure the advise already given you is sound, however, you may like to consider this with a Solicitor or Paralegal who would be able to offer you advise on completing the forms also the longer term implications this may have for you, especially if you have disabilities yourself. You may also prefer to have on file but not register with Court of Protection as this also carries a cost for each the LPA for finance and a separate charge for Health and welfare. Obviously, I do not know your own personal circumstances but you may find that you're more vulnerable if you register with Court of Protection, then need to make changes later which will incur costs for every change required. Just a thought.

If someone is on certain disability benefits there is no charge for registering your Power of Attorney.
I don't know if there are charges for going back and making changes to what you have stated in the Power of Attorney once it is registered but it must be possible to find this out via suitable websites without paying a solicitor. However if you can afford one it would be good to have someone legally trained looking over your P of A to check it is all in order. Best wishes..

As other members gave said, you are the donor. There is excellent advice to be had regarding LPAs and Wills here:
