Had last payment from PIP

Completed a review form in October 2024 even though my current claim didn't finish until last week. Had a few messages over the time saying They are reviewing my claim and if they need any more information they will be in touch. I've now had my last payment and still no word. Should I send some more information as kver the last month my many forms of arthritis has really flared and left me most of the time incapable of doing the easiest of tasks like managing to press the button on my electric toothbrush. Might sound daft but that really broke me. From being like many others, very full on, independent to not being able to do simple things. So should I ring them to ask how things are going or send a diary I've started? Any suggestions welcome.

I think many of us can empathise with moments of realisation and being broken by 'small' tasks we can no longer manage. It's truly awful when it happens and we're unprepared for the feeling of losing even more of our much-valued independence to another 'minor' issue. Obviously, these issues are neither 'small' nor 'minor' but rather part of a cumulative effect on our bodies and psyches. ❤️
Regarding your questions, I'd definitely give them a call to find out what stage your assessment is at and when you should expect to hear from them.
Regarding telling them about the recent flare-up, I'm sure someone with the appropriate insight/knowledge will be along to help you make that decision.
Take care x

Hi @Stray37, sorry to hear you're struggling at the moment. Those moments aren't easy to deal with, so I hope you're doing as well as possible in the circumstances.
Your current award will continue until your review is complete, so you'll still get your payments through until they get back to you. Hopefully they can give you an update on your case tomorrow, as that does sound like a long wait. Fingers crossed you can get some answers!
