Hello, looking for others experience,

I have my tribunal for Adult disability payment on Wednesday this week. Its a paper hearing and in social security scotland response to my appeal they are advising the tribunal to find me eligible for Adult disability at the standard rate for care. They awarded me 7 points at re determination but when they responded to tribunal about my appeal state I should have had 9.

Is tribunal likely to follow and award me??

    Sorry I'm not the best at explaining things. But basically social security scotland are inviting the tribunal to award me

    Heya @seanh634 and welcome to the community. 😁

    Well that sounds like very good news if SSS are basically admitting defeat! If they've said "give them the benefit" then the tribunal will often leave it at that.

    Though if there's a chance of you being awarded more points, they'll usually give you the option of taking the 9 points, or continuing to the tribunal, which can often be worth it.

    Perfect, thankyou for your reply its been 1 year since I initially applied for ADP. So very stressful and long time but the tribunal is hearing my case on Wednesday so it has been taken as far as tribunal but I am happy with the 9 points as that's what I was expecting ever since I applied. So I'm kind of hoping come Wednesday the tribunal follow the recommendation from SSS and award me now.

    Hello,

    Still not heard and was advised I'd hear by email following the decision. I'm now really unsure if I'm going to be awarded or not.

    Any good positive news to help me out here

    Hello,

    Thanks for your reply. They did say 7 days after tribunal however I feel the longer it takes for the decision the more likely answer is no.

    Any idea what happens next and when I will be paid the last year backpayments.
