Housing options for adult son with learning disabilities

I am trying to discover housing options for my 30 year old son who will need some support to be independent, he is physically able but has moderate, severe and complex learning disabilities. I have constantly come up against brick walls and hierarchy so far, a directory for each region would be so helpful.

Hi @debibowdery,

The closest thing I can link you to is the current registered providers of social housing list on the government website. It's quite a long list but you should be able to break it down into regions.

What brick walls have you come up against so far with housing?

Learning Disabled England has some good information about housing options and is a good starting point for the range of options available. Some are more difficult to achieve than others.

Mencap has also produced some information about housing.
