Pip survey is this true?

People claiming Personal Independence Payment (PIP) are to be asked how they spend their benefit payments in a new Government survey
. The Department for Work and Pensions has confirmed it will be carrying out research into the disability expenses that PIP is expected to cover.

that was back in October 2024. Not sure if it ever went ahead
And from some dodgy news websites like Birmingham news and daily record

@alexroda that's precisely why I was asking. Birmingham Live and the Daily Record are renowned clickbait for all benefits-related matters.
They play both sides of the coin - telling people it's easy to be awarded PIP etc., whilst also providing cruelty 'porn'. That's 'porn' for the delight of their audience who have issues with any benefits being paid, particularly to disabled people. It makes them happy to be told we're not 'getting away with it' anymore.
Scurrilous rags both.

If that is the case. I will be doomed. It improves my life but it does not go on in therapy. Well I do things etc.. I am very upset about always reading bad things. Always the scaremongering.

It came up on AI after scrolling past those dodgy websites..Was 13 hours ago..I don't click those dodgy sites ..So asked Google obviously AI is going to throw all info..true or not i guess...Just wondering if anyone else had heard that..Why are we being victimised and scrutinised ? Stay strong everyone

That's the other problem - AI. It does not discern how accurate information published, by those like Birmingham Live/Daily Record, is and regurgitates it as though it is valid and verified information.
Given BL/DR spout this stuff on a daily/hourly basis, AI will pick it up as the most recent information available irrespective of its accuracy/value.
It's sooooooo frustrating and worrying. 😒

I'm not helping them mug us off even more.

Sorry @JellyBabies I cynically thought this was a scam.
Sadly, you were right. x
