You fill out the long UC50 form again.
You will receive a letter on your Journal confirming you have been referred for re assessment, then a few days later you'll get a UC50 in the post.

Thankyou Kimmy87 its a lot better when i know what to expect.
My condition hasnt really changed at all, so I guess I just fill it out the same as before.
I didnt actually fill the form out but typed my answers for each question and printed them out and attached to the form as easier for me than writing.
I guess I'll just reprint those again as nothing has changed. But I will also mention nothing has changed and no improvement in my condition

If you're not expecting any changes in ability over the next few years, you can request a longer award when you get reviewed.

The longer award doesn't apply to LCWRA unless you meet the criteria for the severe conditions group. LCWRA is an ongoing award and continues until a new decision says otherwise.
They will tell you a timescale if you ask them but it's not set in stone and doesn't mean you'll be reviewed at that time.

Somehow I read it as PIP despite all the mentions of LCWRA & UC. That's probably enough internet for me today! 😕

I thought that may have been the case. Please don't worry, misreading things does happen, even for me.

Im going to apply for pip in the new year too. I feel more confident having gone through the process and gotten lcwra.
i looked at the pip form and it looks like i qualify for the higher living amount with 12 points :-)

Before applying I'd advise you to take some time and have a good read of this. With the PIP descriptors it's very easy to either underscore or overscore yourself especially if you don't fully understand the descriptors.
LCWRA and PIP are completely different. Being entitled to one doesn't automatically entitle you to the other.

M partner was awarded Lcwra earlier this year, however it does not state how long the award was for. Thanks

LCWRA, unlike PIP, is an ongoing award that will continue to be paid until such a time as you are found fit for work
The re assessment date isn't given out routinely.
You can ask what date is on the system for re assessment.
However it's a guideline only, they can re assess before or after that date.
Re assessments have been suspended for the majority for several years now, significant backlogs exist within the system as a result.
So knowing that date wouldn't necessarily be useful anyway.

Thanks for the reply Kimmy87

Who told you LCWRA reviews have been suspended no mention of this on .gov or dwp website also i got awarded LCWRA last june 2024 i was told then it will be reviewed in 12 months time meaning june 2025 no one told me anything about LCWRA reassessment / review what ever you want to call it had been suspended 🤷♂️

It's well known among the benefits community.
Personally my last WCA was 2018.

Benefits community but not dwp people have had lcwra reviews i am due one in june this year as it will be a year since i was awarded lcwra last June 2024 the dwp told me it will be reviewed in 12 months time meaning June 2025

I said they have been suspended for the majority which is not everyone, a very limited number of LCWRA reviews have been taking place. System resources have been focused on new claims and changes of circumstance.
Your case will have a target date on the system. It's not set in stone like the PIP review date.
They can re assess for LCWRA outside of that target date anyway.
Last time I asked about my LCWRA review date I was told August 2020. I'm still waiting - doubtless a few new dates have come and gone on the system.

I am not a new claim my LCWRA got backdated 4 years and got a large payment going back 4 years due to covid lockdowns etc my circumstances haven't changed so presumably i wont get a review in June this year. If your still waiting since 2020 i don't wanna know how long i will be waiting.
